Early life and education

Jung Yun-ha was born on March 4, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea. She has parents and older sister.She earned a bachelor's degree in History and International Studies from Seoul Women's University and a master's degree in Performing Arts from Chung-Ang University Graduate School. In June 2024, she completed a short-term Acting Fundamentals course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.Her MBTI personality type is INFJ-T, and her Enneagram is 1w9. Jung Yun-ha debuted in 2007 as a model, appearing in U.S. advertisements for brands including The Brittany NY, Verizon, and H Mart. She became particularly well-known for her extensive work in commercials, notably appearing in 12 LG Electronics advertisements, which earned her the nickname "LG's official model." Over the years, she featured in campaigns for brands such as Amorepacific, Asiana Airlines, Chevrolet, Starbucks, Hyundai Card, IKEA, Kia Motors, and others.She transitioned into acting, debuting in television dramas around 2015 and building a career with frequent supporting, guest, and bit-part roles. In May 2024, Jung Yun-ha publicly shared that she had been diagnosed with cancer around early 2023, underwent surgery, and initially received a benign tumor result from a post-surgery biopsy. However, she announced a recurrence of the cancer and was seeking a second opinion, with tests not yielding positive results at that time. She expressed the emotional weight of the news and requested understanding as she planned to focus on her health, potentially taking a hiatus.In a later update shared around late 2024 (following her role in "The Trunk" (2024)), she opened up about her ongoing battle, noting that she was receiving good treatment and feeling much healthier. She reflected on how the experience brought clarity to her life, prompting her to prioritize her health, personal preferences, family relationships, and overall well-being. She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans and strangers, which surprised her and her family.
