She is best known for her supporting roles in the popular drama series "The Penthouse: War in Life" and its sequels, as well as for taking on her first major lead role in the daily drama "Pearl in Red".
Cheon Hee-joo was born on August 8, 1997, in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do (now Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province), South Korea. She graduated from Hanlim Entertainment Arts High School, majoring in the Department of Entertainment. She later attended Gachon University, where she majored in the Department of Acting Arts.
Cheon Hee-joo debuted in 2019 under her real name Yang Jeong-min in the web drama "To My Beautiful Woo Ri", playing the role of Yang Min-jeong. She subsequently adopted the stage name Cheon Hee-joo for her acting career.
She gained wider recognition for her portrayal of Noh Ji-a, a student at Cheong Ah Arts School, in the SBS drama "The Penthouse: War in Life Season 1" (2020), reprising the role in "The Penthouse Season 2" and "The Penthouse Season 3" (2021).
